I've been out of the LJ loop for a while (and just the R/S loop generally) and was just wondering whether anyone had any recs for things written in the last couple of years. I've read most of the classics that are older than that, I think, although I'd welcome any older recs too.

can you help me get over my R/S depression? Lately I've felt so tired reading about the same things again and again. So, what I'm looking for are fics without clichés, especially gender stereotypes bug me.

What the story should not include:

So, I have always loved the idea or Remus/Sirius, ever since the third book, but have never been that much into fanfiction. Now that I find myself on the computer more and more, and with less and less good books to read, I really feel the need to start learning the true merit of fanfiction =P ( Read more... )

I've looked through every damn tag in my search for fic to read.

I am looking for something long. Really long, and well written, and plotty. Preferably with plenty of hurt/comfort, and it must have a happy ending, though there can be plenty of angst along the way. Too much fluff can hurt your teeth, but I hate reading an entire fic and then ( Read more... )

I love fluff, I love angst, but today I am in the mood for plot (windy, complicated, suspenseful plot!).

I want to read a good story. One with plot-like stuff in it.  No uber angsty stuff... but some gore would be ok. And some laughing. Or some kissing. Or whatever. I just want to read something good.
